Welcome! Many people come to a point in their lives when they are ready to work deeply on themselves, to self-reflect, and to make real change. This takes courage. When we have recognized that our emotional patterns and ways of being are no longer working, it is a true turning point. I am here to support you on your journey. I fully understand the courage that it takes to stop and look within. I will work with you to help you transform difficult emotional patterns and belief systems that are weighing you down. I will help you to connect to who you really are in your truth so that you may live with more balance and ease.
My approach is to assist you in making real inner change as well as to support you so that this change is actually manifested in your life. Depending on your needs, I will help you to get to the root of the issue by using insight-oriented psychotherapy, contemporary psychoanalysis, Jungian dream work, EMDR (a highly effective trauma treatment), and mindfulness meditation. What is most important is that you and I will work together as a team in order to help you to make the changes that you would like to see in your life.
I have worked as a psychotherapist for over twenty-five years. I received my MSW from New York University (1992) and a certificate in Psychoanalysis and Comprehensive Psychotherapy from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (1998). I work with adults who are ready to deeply examine their lives. In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I have taught extensively including having taught Insight Meditation at various centers in New York City. I served on the Teachers Council of NY Insight Meditation Center for many years. I am located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York, convenient to the A, C, E, F,1,2,3, and L subway lines.
